business-case

Skill145 starsChanged 6 months agoMITView on GitHub

Build a structured business case with problem statement, options analysis, ROI estimate, risks, and recommendation. Use when the user needs to justify an investment, get buy-in, or document a decision.

Files
SKILL.md

Ask the user:

  1. "What decision or investment are you making the case for?"
  2. "Who is the audience — exec team, board, investors, your manager?"
  3. "What's the rough cost or resource ask?"

Then produce:

Business Case: [Initiative Name]

Executive Summary

3 sentences: the problem, the proposed solution, and the expected return. A VP should be able to stop here and make a decision.

Problem Statement

What is broken, missing, or at risk? Include quantified impact where possible (revenue at risk, cost of current workaround, churn rate, etc.).

Options Considered

  • Expected return: $[Y] from [source — cost savings, new revenue, churn reduction]

One paragraph. State the option, the key reason, and what happens if you don't act.

Your trail

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
