--- description: Accessibility best practices for components globs: "**/*.tsx" alwaysApply: false --- # Accessibility - Every `<img>` and image component must have descriptive `alt` text. Use `alt=""` only for purely decorative images. - Icon-only buttons must have an `aria-label`. - Use semantic elements via `<Box component="nav">`, `<Box component="main">`, etc. - Interactive elements (`<Button>`, `<Anchor>`) must be keyboard-accessible. Don't attach `onClick` to non-interactive elements like `<Box>` or `<span>`. - Maintain a logical heading hierarchy (`h1` > `h2` > `h3`). Don't skip levels. - Ensure sufficient colour contrast, especially for text over images or gradients. - Form inputs must have associated `<label>` elements or `aria-label`.
