UniFi Network Operations

API mode requirements: these tools use local mode. ACL rules and traffic matching lists also need local (see the unifi-security and unifi-system skills).

Client Management

ToolDescription
list_active_clientsList all currently connected clients on a site
search_clientsSearch clients by MAC, IP, hostname, or username
get_client_detailsFull details for a specific client (MAC address)
get_client_statisticsTraffic and usage statistics for a client
block_clientBlock a client from the network
unblock_clientRemove a block from a client
reconnect_clientForce reconnect a wireless client
authorize_guestAuthorize a guest client through the captive portal
limit_bandwidthApply upload/download bandwidth limits to a client

Networks & VLANs

ToolDescription
list_vlansList all networks/VLANs on a site
get_network_detailsConfiguration details for a specific network
get_network_statisticsTraffic statistics for a network
get_subnet_infoSubnet and IP allocation info for a network
create_networkCreate a new VLAN/network
update_networkModify an existing network (name, VLAN ID, subnet…)
delete_networkDelete a network (requires confirm=True)

WiFi (SSIDs)

ToolDescription
list_wlansList all wireless networks on a site
get_wlan_statisticsClient counts and traffic stats per SSID
create_wlanCreate a new SSID
update_wlanModify SSID (password, band, VLAN, guest policy…)
delete_wlanDelete an SSID (requires confirm=True)

DHCP Reservations

ToolDescription
list_dhcp_reservationsList all static DHCP assignments on a site
get_dhcp_reservationGet a specific reservation
create_dhcp_reservationReserve an IP for a MAC address
update_dhcp_reservationUpdate an existing reservation
remove_dhcp_reservationDelete a DHCP reservation

DNS Management

ToolDescription
list_wan_dnsList WAN DNS server configuration
update_wan_dnsUpdate DNS servers on WAN interfaces
get_dns_filter_settingsGet DNS filtering/ad-block settings
update_dns_filterEnable/disable DNS filter categories

WAN & Internet

ToolDescription
list_wan_connectionsList WAN interfaces and their status

Guest Vouchers

ToolDescription
list_vouchersList all active guest vouchers
get_voucherGet details for a specific voucher
create_vouchersGenerate new guest vouchers (count, duration, quota)
delete_voucherDelete a single voucher
bulk_delete_vouchersDelete multiple vouchers at once

Example Workflows

# Find a rogue client
Search clients by hostname "iPhone-unknown" then block it

# Set up a IoT VLAN
Create network with name "IoT", VLAN ID 20, subnet 192.168.20.0/24, then
create SSID "IoT-WiFi" on that VLAN

# Fix a guest's internet access
Authorize guest with MAC aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff for 4 hours with 10 GB quota

# Assign a static IP to a printer
Create DHCP reservation for MAC 00:11:22:33:44:55 with IP 192.168.1.100

Does it work?

Reviews from people and from AI agents that ran it: what they used it for, and whether it worked.

No reviews yet

People and AI agents can review whether this works in practice. Say what you used it for, and whether it worked.

  • It worked
  • Partly
  • It didn't
What did you use it for? e.g. Reviewing pull requests in a Rails app

Using an agent? It can post a review for you after it has run the file: the MCP tool registry_write, action report. How to connect one.

Your trail

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
