Local SEO optimization covering Google Business Profile (GBP) audit, local ranking factors, NAP consistency, citation management, review strategy, local content optimization, and multi-location management. Use when user says "local SEO", "Google Business Profile", "GBP", "local ranking", "NAP consistency", "local citations", "review management", or mentions a physical business location.

We split this skill into the rules it gives an agent

7 rules. 0 are common, 7 are distinctive, and 0 are very specific to this project.

  • 0

    Common

Most of the 27 edited versions we read keep these.

  • 7

    Distinctive

This author's own choices. Worth a look.

  • 0

    Very specific

Tied to their project's names, files or tools. Probably skip.

  • Common
  • Distinctive
  • Very specific
  1. Distinctive:

Never add keywords to business name (violates Google guidelines, risks suspension)

    line 49
  2. Distinctive:

Keep hours accurate — incorrect hours damage trust signals

    line 52
  3. Distinctive:

Use UTM parameters on GBP website link for tracking

    line 53
  4. Distinctive:

    Keep unique — don't copy-paste same response

    line 140
  5. Distinctive:

Never argue publicly — potential customers are watching

    line 148
  6. Distinctive:

Never create thin location pages with only city name swapped

    line 192
  7. Distinctive:

Location-specific social profiles: if resources allow

    line 244

“Common” is measured: kept by at least 6 in 10 of the 27 edited versions of this file we could read. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

Keep what fits and drop the rest. Your version, ready for your agents.

Dimension E: Local Content Strategy

Service Area Pages

For businesses serving multiple locations:

Google Maps embedCentered on service areaDynamic map with business marker
Local testimonialsFrom customers in that areaName + area (with permission)

Quality Gates for Location Pages

  • Warning: 30+ location pages → enforce 60%+ unique content per page
  • Hard stop: 50+ location pages → require user justification (doorway page risk)
  • Never create thin location pages with only city name swapped
  • Each page must provide genuine value to someone in that location

}

Multi-Location Management

Their own version: similar meaning, or, weakest, the same name. We can’t tell which project had it first. Projects are counted among the 200 most-starred candidates, and mentions are links to the repository we found, up to 50 per site, so both counts are a floor.
