Complete reference for building applications with the Mem0 memory API and SDK — a persistent, self-improving memory layer for LLM agents and chatbots. ALWAYS use this skill when the user mentions: "mem0", "mem0ai", "MemoryClient", "Memory()", "memory layer for AI", "persistent agent memory", "long-term memory for chatbots", "cross-session memory", or any request to add memory to AI agents/assistants that survives between conversations. Also trigger when discussing: adding/searching/updating/deleting memories, entity-scoped memory (user_id/agent_id/run_id), Mem0 MCP server integration, Mem0 webhooks, mem0.ai, or migrating from OSS to Platform. If the user wants AI to "remember" things about users across sessions, this skill is almost certainly what they need — trigger it even if they don't mention Mem0 by name.

Write and edit text that is clear to a tired reader and does not read as machine-generated. Combines ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English for instructional text with an AI-pattern audit for prose that carries a voice. Use for documentation, READMEs, setup guides, runbooks, error messages, release notes, incident reports, commit messages, agent instructions, blog posts, and social posts. Also use when the user says "remove AI-isms", "make this sound less like AI", "de-slop", "clean up this writing", "audit this for AI tells", "STE", "Simplified Technical English", "make this readable", or "write for non-native readers".
Read and maintain a project's durable context files: OVERVIEW.md (how the project works now), MEMORY.md (decisions and rejected alternatives), and ERRORS.md (failed approaches worth remembering). Use at the start of a session, before changing an existing design, before debugging something that looks familiar, and after finishing work that made one of those files wrong. Also use when the user says "log this decision", "add this to memory", "write this up in ERRORS", "update the overview", "what did we decide about X", "did we try this before", or asks to set these files up in a new project.
Publish your task list to the Herdr Tasks pane so the user can watch you check items off. Use when a task has more than two steps, or when the user asks to see your plan or progress.

Plain text files in a repository that tell a coding agent how the project works: commands to run, conventions to follow and things to avoid. CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, cursor rules and skills are the common kinds.
CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md?
CLAUDE.md is read by Claude Code. AGENTS.md is an open format that Codex, Cursor and other agents read. Many projects keep one and point the other at it.
What is a skill?
A folder with a SKILL.md that describes one capability, such as filling PDFs or reviewing code. The agent loads it only when the task calls for it.
Can I search my own team's files too?
Your agents already can, over MCP, limited to the files you're allowed to read. Searching them from this page is coming.
