Use when "сделай пдф", "make a PDF", "на печать", "распечатать", "prepare for A4", "печатные карточки", "PDF из markdown", or a PDF renders but the page layout has to be checked before handing it over. Covers WeasyPrint on macOS, why headless Chrome hangs, page breaks, page numbers and Cyrillic.
Convert a Markdown file into a clean, print-ready PDF. Use whenever the user wants to turn a .md into a .pdf — submissions, tutorials, helpsheets, reports, notes, any markdown → PDF. Triggers on "md to pdf", "convert to pdf", "make/export a pdf", "print this markdown", or naming a .md and asking for a .pdf. Bundles a cross-browser pandoc + headless-Chromium pipeline that needs no LaTeX.
PDF Operations
This skill provides a suite of tools for manipulating PDF documents.
## Capabilities
- **Merge**: Combine multiple PDF files into one.
- **Split**: Divide a PDF into separate pages or page
Stirling PDF document processing. Use when: user asks to convert, merge, split, compress, OCR, or manipulate PDF files. Also for converting between PDF and Markdown/images/Word/HTML. Useful alongside Obsidian for PDF-to-Markdown conversion.
Converts Markdown files to styled PDF using md-to-pdf with professional themes. Use when asked to convert markdown to PDF, generate PDFs from .md files, or export markdown as PDF with custom styling.
Compress PDF files with ComPDF while balancing file size and readable visual quality. Use for PDF optimization, resolution control, compression strategies, and removal of non-essential document content.
Convert Markdown documents to professionally typeset PDF files with reportlab. Handles CJK/Latin mixed text, fenced code blocks, tables, blockquotes, Obsidian callouts, inline images, emoji fallback, LaTeX-style formulas, cover pages, clickable TOC, PDF bookmarks, watermarks, and page numbers. Supports multiple color themes (Configurable Academic, Nord, GitHub Light, Solarized, etc.) and is battle-tested for Chinese technical reports. Use this skill whenever the user wants to turn a .md file into a styled PDF, generate a report PDF from markdown, or create a print-ready document from markdown content — especially if CJK characters, code blocks, or tables are involved. Also trigger when the user mentions "markdown to PDF", "md2pdf", "any2pdf", "md转pdf", "报告生成", or asks for a "typeset" or "professionally formatted" PDF from markdown source.
Use to analyze a dealer-attached PDF, CARFAX vehicle history report, service records, or OTD proposal, and extract accident detail, service gaps, F&I add-on hidden costs. Triggers include "review this CARFAX", "analyze service records", "what's in this proposal PDF", "did dealer hide add-ons", "看下 CARFAX", "审 PDF", "F&I add-on detection", and Spanish phrases "revisar este CARFAX", "analizar el historial del vehiculo en este PDF".
Use this skill when you need to read, inspect, or extract content from PDF files — especially when file content is NOT in your context and you need to read it from disk. Covers content inventory, text extraction, page rasterization for visual inspection, embedded image/attachment/table/form-field extraction, and choosing the right reading strategy for different document types (text-heavy, scanned, slide-decks, forms, data-heavy). Do NOT use this skill for PDF creation, form filling, merging, splitting, watermarking, or encryption — use the pdf skill instead.
Generates formatted PDF scouting reports from prior /player-analysis runs. Use when the user types "/player-pdf [name]" or "/player-pdf [name1], [name2], ..." or asks to "generate a report", "create a PDF", or "make a scouting report". Supports single and batch mode. Requires /player-analysis to have been run first for each player — reads saved JSONs rather than re-fetching or re-analyzing.
Analyze the design + narrative MOLD of a reference PDF (marketing lead-magnet, brochure, editorial piece) — palette, typographic roles, emphasis/highlight rules, per-page layout archetypes, camera angles, imagery treatment and the full narrative arc — then REGENERATE a brand-new, on-topic PDF that reuses that exact mold at equal or better quality. Imagery is produced with the asset-generator skill (including placing a person from reference photos into poses that fit each page); text is rendered as crisp HTML via Chromium. Use when the user wants to clone/replicate the look-and-feel of a PDF, turn a lead magnet into a template, or produce a premium multi-page marketing PDF in the style of an existing one.
Converts a Markdown (.md) file into a clean, print-ready PDF with consistent styling — table rows never split across a page break, and every page gets a "N / total" footer. Use this skill whenever the user wants a Markdown file, README, or written documentation turned into a PDF, exported as PDF, or "als PDF" — even if they don't explicitly say "convert" or name this skill. Supports an optional accent color (hex code like "#0028A5" or a descriptive name like "burgundy" / "UZH blue") used for headings, table headers, and rules; without a color the PDF renders in black/grayscale only. Runs via a bundled Python script for fast, deterministic, low-token conversions — do not hand-roll a new markdown-to-PDF pipeline when this skill is available.
Convert a PDF into a PowerPoint (.pptx) by rasterizing every page to a high-resolution image and placing it full-bleed on a slide whose aspect ratio matches the page. This is the HIGH-FIDELITY / pixel-perfect path: the result looks exactly like the source PDF, but the text on each slide is NOT editable (each slide is an image). Use this whenever the user wants to turn a PDF into a PowerPoint / .pptx / slides, "put a PDF into PowerPoint", or convert a presentation PDF (e.g. a LaTeX/Beamer deck) to PowerPoint, AND they care more about looking identical to the original than about editing the text — even if they don't say "high fidelity". Especially apt for math-heavy or figure-heavy academic decks, where generic PDF→PPT converters mangle formulas and layout. Do NOT use this when the user needs the slide text/shapes to be EDITABLE in PowerPoint — that requires rebuilding the deck from scratch, not this image-based approach.
Convert Word, Excel, PPT, HTML, TXT, CSV, RTF, PNG, and JPG files into PDF with ComPDF. Use when a business document or image needs fixed-layout PDF output for sharing, approvals, printing, or archiving.
Convert Markdown files to well-formatted PDF with Chinese support, bookmarks, and page numbers. Uses PyMuPDF Story HTML rendering with DroidSansFallbackFull font for full CJK + Latin + special character coverage. Trigger on phrases like "markdown to pdf", "md转pdf", "生成pdf", "导出pdf", "markdown导出", or any request to convert .md files to PDF with proper Chinese rendering and bookmarks. Not for the reverse direction: to turn PDF/DOCX into Markdown, use doc-to-markdown instead.
Convert a PDF into a Word (.docx) file that keeps the original layout — same text in the same places, not reflowed. Use when the user asks for "this as Word", "a Word version of this PDF", "editable Word copy", "docx of this PDF", or wants to hand a colleague something they can open in Word without the design falling apart. Best on text-based PDFs, especially forms, statements, invoices and reports. Do NOT use on scanned/image-only PDFs — there is no text to place. For the reverse direction (HTML → PDF) use the html-to-pdf skill.
Plain text files in a repository that tell a coding agent how the project works: commands to run, conventions to follow and things to avoid. CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, cursor rules and skills are the common kinds.
CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md?
CLAUDE.md is read by Claude Code. AGENTS.md is an open format that Codex, Cursor and other agents read. Many projects keep one and point the other at it.
What is a skill?
A folder with a SKILL.md that describes one capability, such as filling PDFs or reviewing code. The agent loads it only when the task calls for it.
Can I search my own team's files too?
Your agents already can, over MCP, limited to the files you're allowed to read. Searching them from this page is coming.
