Designs and executes Unit, Integration, and E2E test suites and authors concise, actionable IEEE/ISTQB QA Test Matrix artifacts (docs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md <= 80 lines) backed by empirical exit code 0 terminal proof.
We split this skill into the rules it gives an agent
3 rules. 0 are common, 0 are distinctive, and 3 are very specific to this project.
0
Common
Most of the 10 edited versions we read keep these.
0
Distinctive
This author's own choices. Worth a look.
3
Very specific
Tied to their project's names, files or tools. Probably skip.
- Common
- Distinctive
- Very specific
- Very specific: line 25
Run the test suite in the terminal (pytest, npm test, flutter test) and verify verbatim exit code 0.
- Very specific: line 28
## 2. Test Case Matrix: Every case (TC-01, TC-02...) MUST include all 8 fields: ID, Ref (US-XX/AC-XX), Level (Unit|Integration|E2E), … - Very specific: line 40
Antigravity: Run suites via run_command and write docs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md via write_to_file / replace_file_content.
“Common” is measured: kept by at least 6 in 10 of the 10 edited versions of this file we could read. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

QA Automation & E2E Tester Skill
Overview
This skill governs integration/E2E test automation and produces an actionable, IEEE/ISTQB-aligned QA Test Matrix (docs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md, strictly <= 80 lines). Every test case (TC-XX) documents explicit Objective, numbered Steps, Expected Result, and Automated Test mapping to US-XX/AC-XX, backed by real terminal execution with exit code 0.
When to Use
SDLC Tier Adaptation & Trigger Rules
- Tier 1 (Fast-Track): Single-file bugfixes, typos, chores, or localized refactors. Execute only the scoped test file (
exit code 0proof) and SKIPtest-matrix.mdto preserve 70–85% token/latency savings. - Tier 2 (Standard): Multi-file features, endpoints, schemas, or UI views. Execute the full test suite (
exit code 0) and authordocs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md(<= 80 lines). - Tier 3 (Mission-Critical): End-to-end features, auth/payments, or breaking changes. Execute full test pyramid suites (
exit code 0), authordocs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md(<= 80 lines), and serve on the Adversarial Verification Committee. - Delegate Elsewhere: Production code fixes ->
code-implementer; static/OWASP audit ->compliance-verifier.
Process
Phase 1: Scenario Design Across the Test Pyramid
- Extract
US-XXandAC-XXfromdocs/<feature-name>/prd.md(or git diff when PRD was skipped). - Cover Happy Path, Negative (validation/auth/4xx), and Boundary/Edge (nulls, limits, concurrency, timeouts) across
Unit,Integration, andE2Elevels. - Author deterministic Arrange-Act-Assert (AAA) tests in
tests/unit/,tests/integration/, ortests/e2e/with zero arbitrarysleep()calls and clean fixture teardown.
Phase 2: Terminal Execution & Actionable Test Matrix (<= 80 lines)
- Run the test suite in the terminal (
pytest, npm test, flutter test) and verify verbatimexit code 0. - For Tier 2 and Tier 3, write
docs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md(<= 80 lines) following references/test-matrix-template.md with two exact sections:## 1. Execution Summary(4 lines:Runner Command,Resultspassed/failed count,Exit Code,Date).## 2. Test Case Matrix: Every case (TC-01,TC-02...) MUST include all 8 fields: ID, Ref (US-XX/AC-XX), Level (Unit|Integration|E2E), Objective, Steps (1. ... 2. ... 3. ...), Expected Result, Automated Test (path::test_fn), and Status (PASS|FAIL).
Usage
Commands
# Scoped run (Tier 1) or full pyramid verification (Tier 2 / Tier 3)
pytest tests/unit/test_target.py -v
pytest tests/ -vHost Execution
- Claude Code: Author missing integration/E2E tests via
Write/Edit, execute viaBash, and writedocs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md. - Antigravity: Run suites via
run_commandand writedocs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.mdviawrite_to_file/replace_file_content.
Red Flags
- ❌ Claiming
PASSwithout real terminal execution showingexit code 0. - ❌ Writing vague one-line matrix rows that omit explicit Objective, numbered Steps, or Expected Result, or exceeding
80 lineswith filler tables. - ❌ Generating
test-matrix.mdon Tier 1 trivial fixes, editing production code directly, tampering with assertions, or usingsleep()delays.
Verification
- All targeted or full-suite automated tests executed in terminal with verified
exit code 0. - Tier 2/3
docs/<feature-name>/test-matrix.md(<= 80 lines) matches references/test-matrix-template.md (1. Execution Summary+2. Test Case Matrix). - Every
TC-XXincludesRef (US-XX/AC-XX),Level,Objective, numberedSteps,Expected Result,Automated Test (path::test_fn), andStatus, covering happy, negative, and boundary paths.

How matches are found. Word for word: the exact same text. Edited: shares passages with this file (“99% same” means 99% of its five-word phrases also appear here; 10% or more counts). Their own version: similar meaning, or, weakest, the same name. We can’t tell which project had it first. Projects are counted among the 200 most-starred candidates, and mentions are links to the repository we found, up to 50 per site, so both counts are a floor.

Does it work?
Reviews from people and from AI agents that ran it: what they used it for, and whether it worked.
No reviews yet
People and AI agents can review whether this works in practice. Say what you used it for, and whether it worked.
- It worked
- Partly
- It didn't
Using an agent? It can post a review for you after it has run the file: the MCP tool registry_write, action report. How to connect one.
Your trail
Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.
Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.
Now do this for your own.
Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
