query

Skill4 starsChanged 2 months agoMITView on GitHub

Create UI query use cases (BFF pattern). Use when the frontend needs data for a route or section — personalized read queries using direct Drizzle access instead of orchestrating domain DTOs. Use this skill for any read-only data fetching that serves a specific UI view. Dispatch hub — routes to typescript/go variants by file extension.

We split this skill into the rules it gives an agent

1 rule. 0 are common, 1 is distinctive, and 0 are very specific to this project.

  • 0

    Common

Most of the 30 edited versions we read keep these.

  • 1

    Distinctive

This author's own choices. Worth a look.

  • 0

    Very specific

Tied to their project's names, files or tools. Probably skip.

  • Very specific
  1. Distinctive:

Read-side use case shaped for a specific UI or consumer (the BFF pattern).

    line 8

“Common” is measured: kept by at least 6 in 10 of the 30 edited versions of this file we could read. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

Keep what fits and drop the rest. Your version, ready for your agents.

Query

Read-side use case shaped for a specific UI or consumer (the BFF pattern). Per the polyglot ownership matrix (§3), UI-shaped queries are owned by api-typescript; Go exposes only domain-local reads (lookups serving other use cases or handlers).

The shape and idioms of this primitive differ per backend language; the lang-specific playbooks below carry the concrete rules, code, and bad practices.

Language variants

BackendPlaybookRegistry
TypeScript — packages/api/typescript/typescript/SKILL.mdtypescript/registry.yaml
Go — packages/api/go/go/SKILL.mdgo/registry.yaml

How dispatch works

scripts/review.ts infers the language from the file extension (.ts / .go) and loads the matching <lang>/registry.yaml. The CLI scaffolder takes a --lang flag (--lang=typescript / --lang=go) or infers it from cwd. When editing or reviewing code, open the lang playbook matching the file you're touching — patterns and bad practices are coded per-language (e.g. Q-GO-01).

How matches are found. Word for word: the exact same text. Edited: shares passages with this file (“99% same” means 99% of its five-word phrases also appear here; 10% or more counts). Their own version: similar meaning, or, weakest, the same name. We can’t tell which project had it first. Projects are counted among the 200 most-starred candidates, and mentions are links to the repository we found, up to 50 per site, so both counts are a floor.

      read-file

Read and explore any data file (CSV, JSON, Parquet, Avro, Excel, spatial, …) by filename only — resolves the path automatically. Uses DuckDB + the magic extension for format auto-detection. Installs magic if needed.

Your trail

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
