# Library changes and docs/

Before or while editing files under src/:

1. Skim **docs/bugs/** for issues tied to the same area (pan, wheel, pinch,
   bounds, etc.) so you do not reintroduce a fixed bug; if your change relates
   to an open bug file, update that file's resolution log and version when
   closing.
2. Skim **docs/feature-requests/** so you do not accidentally half-ship a FR
   without updating its status log (or explicitly defer).
3. If a change fixes a bug, ensure **regression test** exists (see
   `.cursor/rules/testing-regressions.mdc`) and the bug markdown lists the **fix
   version** and spec path.
4. If tests fail after your change, assume **library regression** first; only
   relax or rewrite a test when the expectation was wrong—document why.

Do not rename public library APIs without maintainer decision; docs track
user-visible outcomes.
