# spitfire-storybook

This repository ships two local, privacy-first capabilities. Full instructions live in
`AGENTS.md` (root). Summary:

## 1. Generate a personalized book
The skill at `skills/brutally-honest-book-builder/SKILL.md` runs a consent-gated pipeline:
**Collect → Diagnose → Generate → Build**. It reads only sources the user explicitly approves,
writes a private diagnostic profile that is git-ignored and never ships, generates ~30–40
chapters, and compiles to PDF + EPUB via pandoc + xelatex. Read that SKILL.md and its
`reference/` files before running.

## 2. Narrate it into an audiobook
`cli/narrate.py` (documented in `skills/narrate/SKILL.md`) turns any book, EPUB, Markdown, or
text into a chaptered `.m4b` using a local Kokoro server (`cli/kokoro/`). No agent is required
to run it — it's a plain Python CLI.

## Golden rule
Never write real personal data into any committed file. Keep all examples generic or clearly
fictional. The diagnostic profile is private and must stay git-ignored.
