## Core facts
- Tracebook is an Agent Skill for Codex, Claude Code, and compatible Open Agent Skills hosts.
- Knowledge is stored as inspectable Markdown under `~/.tracebook` by default.
- Current facts use stable identities, evidence references, lifecycle states, and version history.
- Retrieval is bounded and deterministic; it is not vector or semantic search.
- Tracebook never writes memory, configuration, hooks, or scratch requests into business repositories.
- Cross-project reads require explicit project selection or recorded system membership.
- Deep audit output is evidence triage for human review, not an automatic truth verdict.
