# ccstatusline

> A highly customizable status line formatter for Claude Code CLI. Renders a configurable terminal status line (model info, git branch/state, token/context usage, cost, timers, and other widgets) via an interactive TUI, with support for themes and Powerline-style separators.

## Configuration

- [ccstatusline settings](https://github.com/sirmalloc/ccstatusline#-quick-start): Widget and appearance settings are stored at `~/.config/ccstatusline/settings.json` by default. Use `--config <path>` to load and save these settings at a custom file path.
- [Claude Code settings.json format](https://github.com/sirmalloc/ccstatusline#-quick-start): ccstatusline writes a `statusLine` command object (`type`, `command`, `padding`, and `refreshInterval` when supported) to Claude Code's `~/.claude/settings.json`, supporting `npx`, `bunx`, or a pinned global `ccstatusline` command. Set `CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR` to override the Claude Code configuration directory; the file is then `<CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR>/settings.json`.
