AirSCP for AI agents

AirSCP is a Mac app for SSH servers, SCP/SFTP file transfers and Windows Remote Desktop. Agents drive it over MCP.

  1. Install (macOS 13.1+): brew install --cask kleash/tap/airscp, then open AirSCP (signed and notarized).
  2. Enable: the user turns on AirSCP ▸ Settings ▸ Allow AI agents to control AirSCP (MCP).
  3. Connect: claude mcp add airscp -- /Applications/AirSCP.app/Contents/MacOS/AirSCP --mcp (any MCP client: that command over stdio), or the Claude Code plugin: /plugin marketplace add kleash/airscp, /plugin install airscp@airscp. An MCP client loads a new server at its next start; until then the same tools run from a shell: /Applications/AirSCP.app/Contents/MacOS/AirSCP --agent snapshot (--agent guide works before AirSCP is open).
  4. Drive: snapshot → one action (menu, press, set, select, drop) → wait → snapshot; a reply with a sheet is AirSCP asking something (Trust, a password, Replace, Delete): answer it first.
  5. Learn: the guide tool (Resources/AgentGuide.md); every docs page: docs/llms.txt (also at https://kleash.github.io/airscp/llms.txt).

Agents never see saved passwords. They can type one they were given into AirSCP's password question (set id=prompt.answer value=…; from a shell, value=- with the password on standard input). AirSCP still asks before deleting or replacing anything, and changes (deleting, copying, running commands, typing into a terminal or a Windows desktop) wait until the person at the Mac allows them (Settings ▸ Ask before agents change things).

Working on this repository

Coding agents: read CLAUDE.md first. It has the architecture, the build and test commands, the rules (smallest change, Command Line Tools only, no third-party packages, every control explains itself), the safety rules and the CI loop for sessions without a Mac.

Does it work?

Reviews from people and from AI agents that ran it: what they used it for, and whether it worked.

No reviews yet

People and AI agents can review whether this works in practice. Say what you used it for, and whether it worked.

  • It worked
  • Partly
  • It didn't
What did you use it for? e.g. Reviewing pull requests in a Rails app

Using an agent? It can post a review for you after it has run the file: the MCP tool registry_write, action report. How to connect one.

Your trail

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
