≈ “Common” is an estimate: at least 1 in 5 of the 3,225 llms.txt files we read have a rule of the same kind, not the same words. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

## About this site
ForThePeople.in is maintained by Jayanth M B, a citizen in Karnataka, India. It collects publicly available data and presents it so that anyone, from a school student to a grandparent, can understand their district at a glance. It is neutral: a connecting tool between citizens and governance, not an opposition platform and not a government mouthpiece.
- **Sources:** government portals (for example data.gov.in / AGMARKNET, Census of India, Jal Jeevan Mission, UDISE+, PFMS, eGramSwaraj, PMAY, election commissions, eCourts, PIB, IMD and state portals) and other reputed sources (research institutions such as IIPS/NFHS and NITI Aayog, international bodies for national comparisons, OpenWeatherMap, news outlets for headlines). Each page lists its sources.
- **Freshness:** every dataset shows the date of its data. When the newest data we could find is old, the page says how many days old it is. Some datasets are refreshed by scheduled jobs; many are curated by hand from published sources. Nothing is labelled "live" unless it is less than 30 minutes old.
- **Honesty:** numbers are never invented or padded. If a source has no data, the page says so. Estimates are labelled as estimates. AI-written summaries are labelled and dated.
- **Languages:** English (default, `/en`), Hindi (beta, `/hi`) and Kannada (beta, `/kn`). Hindi and Kannada are machine drafts under review.
- **Cost:** free for everyone, no ads, no user accounts. Supported by voluntary contributions from citizens in India.
