repo-synthesis

Skill2 starsChanged 9 months agoApache-2.0View on GitHub

This skill has been consolidated into /synthesize. T29 (Session #271) merged /repo-synthesis (v1.3) and /website-synthesis (v1.1) plus the cross-type synthesis stub from /analyze into a single unified skill. The new skill produces 8 output sections — supersetting the 6 this skill provided (emergent themes, ecosystem gaps, reading chains, mental model evolution, fit portfolio, knowledge map) with 2 additions (opportunity matrix, changes since previous) — and handles all source types in one pass. See .planning/synthesis-consolidation/ for the full design (32 decisions,…

We split this skill into the rules it gives an agent

2 rules. About 0 are common, 0 are distinctive, and 2 are very specific to this project.

≈ “Common” is an estimate: at least 1 in 5 of the 308,232 skill files we read have a rule of the same kind, not the same words. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

Keep what fits and drop the rest. Your version, ready for your agents.

/repo-synthesis (DEPRECATED)

This skill has been consolidated into /synthesize.

Why

T29 (Session #271) merged /repo-synthesis (v1.3) and /website-synthesis (v1.1) plus the cross-type synthesis stub from /analyze into a single unified skill. The new skill produces 8 output sections — supersetting the 6 this skill provided (emergent themes, ecosystem gaps, reading chains, mental model evolution, fit portfolio, knowledge map) with 2 additions (opportunity matrix, changes since previous) — and handles all source types in one pass.

See .planning/synthesis-consolidation/ for the full design (32 decisions, 5 waves, 15 steps).

Migration

# Old
/repo-synthesis

# New
/synthesize --type=repo # repo-only synthesis
/synthesize # cross-type (recommended)
/synthesize --paradigm=narrative # different paradigm

All flags from the old skill are supported via /synthesize. Output paths have changed: .research/analysis/SYNTHESIS.md → .research/analysis/synthesis/synthesis.md. History is auto-archived to .research/analysis/synthesis/history/.

Removal

This redirect expires next session. The directory will be deleted after a one-session overlap to prevent breakage from habit or stale references.

Deprecated: 2026-04-09 (Session #271, T29 Wave 3).

When to Use

  • Never — this skill is DEPRECATED. Use /synthesize instead.
  • Redirect stub exists only to surface the migration note for one session.

When NOT to Use

  • Any synthesis work → use /synthesize (direct replacement, superset).

Your trail

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
