An open-source, self-hosted alternative to Airtable, Fibery, Notion databases, and ClickUp, in which AI agents are first-class users. Connected tables, > bidirectional relations, workflow states, lookups, rollups, formulas, > automations, and per-entity markdown documents — one SQLite file, zero runtime > dependencies, no build step, MIT licensed. weave runs as a single Node process over a single `.db` file. Everything the web UI can do is also available over a REST API, a scriptable CLI, and a built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) server backed by the same engine — including every configuration choice: field types and their options, colors, icons, column widths and order, hidden columns, saved views, automations. `weave_vocabulary` (`GET /api/vocabulary`, `weave vocabulary`) returns every value those settings accept and what each looks like on screen, so an agent configures a workspace without a human and without guessing. There is no cloud, no signup, and no telemetry. It has no authentication of its own: a self-hosted instance is expected to sit behind a reverse proxy, SSO proxy, or private network. Requires Node ≥ 22.16 (Node 24 LTS recommended). Install is `git clone` — there is nothing to build and nothing to install from npm. ## Docs - [README](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/README.md): what weave is, quickstart, comparison against Airtable/ClickUp/Fibery and other open-source alternatives, self-hosting, FAQ - [AGENTS.md](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/AGENTS.md): agent-facing map — repo layout, the 55 MCP tools and their CLI equivalents, configuring a workspace without a browser, entity-ref forms, rules for changing the repo - [Ontology & glossary](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/docs/ONTOLOGY.md): the entity as weave's one core kind, its five levels, what an entity is made of, and the glossary - [Architecture map](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/tree/main/docs/architecture): interactive runtime map rendered by archify, each node linked to its source at a pinned commit - [Feature parity matrix](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/docs/PARITY.md): weave against Fibery's core work-platform feature set, feature by feature - [weave vs Airtable](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/docs/comparison/airtable.md): how Airtable concepts map onto weave, and what is missing - [weave vs Fibery](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/docs/comparison/fibery.md): how Fibery concepts map onto weave, and what is missing - [Open-source alternatives compared](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/docs/comparison/alternatives.md): weave against NocoDB, Baserow, Grist, and Teable - [CONTRIBUTING](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md): setup, the zero-dependency and no-build-step rules, PR expectations - [SECURITY](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/SECURITY.md): threat model, what is in scope, private reporting ## Optional - [Screenshots](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/tree/main/docs/screenshots): table, entity documents, docked entity, relation map, search - [License](https://github.com/grunion-ai/weave/blob/main/LICENSE): MIT
