digital-product routes any product request to the specialist skill that owns it, sequences
multi-stage work across eight lifecycle stages with honest subtraction (most products don't need
all fourteen), keeps every family deliverable in one committed `digital-product/` folder with a
thin `LEDGER.md`, and holds the family's dated cross-skill seam rulings — including the ones
deliberately left contested.

It owns the seams and the sequence — none of the domains. It produces routing decisions, stage
plans, ledger entries, and handoff glue: never a PRD, a design, a line of production code, a test
verdict, or a forecast. Every specialist works standalone, and the composer's first duty is knowing
when it is not needed. It is also not an orchestration engine: multi-agent topology belongs to a
separate `orchestrate` skill, and this pack never re-implements it.

Claude Code is the reference host; it's plain Agent Skills format (agentskills.io), so it installs
on Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, opencode, Grok Build, and Hermes too.

## Install

- npm/skills.sh: `npx skills add gabros20/digital-product-skill -g -y`
- Clone + installer (per-host targets: claude | codex | agents | cursor | antigravity | opencode | grok | hermes | all): `git clone https://github.com/gabros20/digital-product-skill && cd digital-product-skill && ./install.sh claude`
- Manual copy: `cp -R skills/digital-product ~/.claude/skills/digital-product`
- Specialists install the same way, one at a time: `npx skills add gabros20/<pack>-skill -g -y`
- Whole family in one command: `curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gabros20/digital-product-skill/main/scripts/install-family | bash -s -- --set all`
- Family sets (each includes the composer): all | core | define | design | shape | build | assure | run | improve | distribute; or an explicit list, `--set product,design`. Installing all fourteen adds ~2.4k tokens of always-on skill descriptions per session, so the sets exist to subtract.
- Family installer flags: `--target <client>` (the 8 targets above), `--ref <branch|tag>`, `--method skills|clone`, `--dry-run`, `--uninstall`. Each pack installs from its own repository at its own HEAD; nothing is vendored into the composer.
- Project-scoped (all 15 into one repo's .agents/skills/): `curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gabros20/digital-product-skill/main/skills-lock.json -o skills-lock.json && npx skills experimental_install`

## Update

- Packs installed via `npx skills add` or the installer's default `skills` method update by name: `npx skills update quality operate -g -y`, or `npx skills update -g -y` for all global skills.
- Packs installed with `--method clone` are recorded as `Source: local` and `skills update` refuses them ("No installed skills found matching: <pack>"). Re-run the installer for just those packs instead: `./scripts/install-family --set quality,operate --method clone` — each pack's install.sh replaces in place and restores the previous copy on failure.
- Project-scoped: re-run `npx skills experimental_install` to restore every skills-lock.json entry at current HEAD.

## Reference inventory (`skills/digital-product/references/`)

- `lifecycle-map.md` — the eight stages and their default dependency order, where work enters, the minimal path, how artifacts travel between stages, and the lateral seams the linear order hides.
- `artifact-convention.md` — the `digital-product/` folder layout, the `LEDGER.md` format and discipline, repo-relative path portability, and the `.orchestrate/` boundary.
- `coordination.md` — mode selection (in-context, native subagents, hand off to orchestrate), the one-page brief and dense report contracts, and the ledger discipline across all three.
- `seam-rulings.md` — dated cross-skill rulings, standing ownership splits, the deliberately contested seams, vocabulary law, and the known graceful mis-routes left unfixed on purpose.
