≈ “Common” is an estimate: at least 1 in 5 of the 3,225 llms.txt files we read have a rule of the same kind, not the same words. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

Keep what fits and drop the rest. Your version, ready for your agents.

# Ovis

> Ovis is a free, open-source browser and phone client for herdr, the terminal multiplexer. Read and answer Claude Code, Codex and the other coding agents running in herdr on your computer, as a chat or in the live terminal, from your phone, your desktop or any browser.

Ovis was called herdr web UI until it took the name Ovis; older links and installs use the old name.

Ovis runs on the computer where your agents run, as a herdr plugin, and serves the app to your browsers: on that computer, or on your phone over a route you control, such as Tailscale, an SSH tunnel, a VPN or your own HTTPS proxy. Ovis has no hosted relay or account service of its own; the optional Portal integration gives the PC a public HTTPS address through a relay you choose. Every herdr pane is a live terminal; for the supported agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, pi, Hermes and the others in the guide) the pane also reads as a chat, with supported approvals and questions as cards you tap. On a phone it installs to the home screen as a web app and sends push alerts when an agent needs you.

Ovis needs [herdr](https://github.com/herdrdev/herdr) 0.9.0 or newer. herdr owns the panes and the agents; Ovis connects to them.

Install it on the computer where your agents run. On Linux with glibc (x64, arm64) or macOS (Intel, Apple Silicon): `curl -fsSL https://ovis.sh/install.sh | sh`. On Windows x64, in PowerShell, with Git for Windows installed: `irm https://ovis.sh/install.ps1 | iex`. The installer adds what is missing for your user (herdr, Bun and, outside Windows, Node), installs Ovis as a herdr plugin and gives the address to open, normally http://127.0.0.1:7317. An agent helping someone install Ovis should follow INSTALL.md, linked below.

Ovis is free and open source under the MIT license, made by devswha (https://github.com/devswha). The source is at https://github.com/devswha/ovis.

Not to be confused with the Ovis multimodal AI models from AIDC-AI (Alibaba); OVIS, the HPC monitoring software that ships LDMS; or Ovis, the sheep genus (Ovis is Latin for sheep).

How matches are found. Word for word: the exact same text. Edited: shares passages with this file (“99% same” means 99% of its five-word phrases also appear here; 10% or more counts). Their own version: similar meaning, or, weakest, the same name. We can’t tell which project had it first. Projects are counted among the 200 most-starred candidates, and mentions are links to the repository we found, up to 50 per site, so both counts are a floor.

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
