## Build & Test Commands
### TypeScript servers
```bash
# Single server
cd src/ && npm ci && npm run build && npm test
build --release # release build (optimized)
cargo run -- # run directly
cargo install --path . # install locally
### Testing
```bash
cargo test # all tests
rtk cargo test # preferred (token-optimized)

#### Goal-Driven Execution
- Convert tasks into verifiable goals before coding:
- "Add validation" → "Write tests for invalid inputs, then make them pass."
- "Fix the bug" → "Write a test that reproduces
that the decision, the revision roadmap, and re-review criteria do not draw on. Tests use synthetic fixtures; whether runs call it is unmeasured.
- **The instruction/data boundary reaches dispatches, passport

A file Claude Code reads at the start of every session. It holds the commands, conventions and warnings the agent needs for this project.
Where does it go?
At the repository root. Claude Code also reads CLAUDE.md files in subdirectories when it works there.
What should it contain?
Build and test commands, the project's layout, conventions that aren't obvious from the code, and mistakes to avoid. Short files tend to work better than long ones.
CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md?
Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md; most other agents read AGENTS.md. Many projects keep one and point the other at it.
