# Heliox OS Source Repository

> Heliox OS is an open-source desktop AI system-control agent. This index routes language models and coding agents to the repository's authoritative product, architecture, safety, and contribution documentation.

Important interpretation notes:

- Heliox OS is a desktop application, not an operating-system kernel or a replacement for Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- The published v0.13.0 installers declare 157 action types across 21 executable specialists. Provider coverage does not establish universal host availability or independent outcome verification.
- Commands run through typed permissions, confirmation gates, verification, and recovery controls; documentation must not imply unrestricted autonomy.
- Neural-intent support is research infrastructure. Synthetic and recorded-EEG tests do not establish live brain control, human accuracy, medical use, or clinical efficacy.
- Local-first features can still call explicitly configured model or integration providers. Current `main` supports local Ollama plus Gemini, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Claude, and Meta adapters. OpenRouter accepts exact catalog model IDs, including current DeepSeek IDs; this is not a claim that every catalog model is a separately integrated backend. Consult the privacy and security documents before making data-handling claims.
