# Type Safety

- **No type casting.** Never use `as Type`, `as any`, `as unknown`, or `: any`.
  All types must be explicit and correct. If a cast seems necessary, the types
  are wrong — fix the types.
- **No `unknown`** in function signatures or data structures. Use properly
  typed interfaces.
