iso-topology is an open-source Go CLI and library that renders a small text DSL into design-grade 2.5D isometric SVG architecture diagrams. It is a diagram-as-code tool built agent-first: an LLM can discover the DSL (isotopo capabilities), validate documents before render (JSONPath-located issues with fix suggestions; exit codes 0 clean / 2 warnings / 3 errors), and produce deterministic, git-diffable SVG. It is a diagram-as-code tool built agent-first: an LLM can discover the DSL (`isotopo capabilities`), validate documents before render (JSONPath-located issues with fix suggestions; exit codes 0 clean / 2 warnings / 3 errors), and produce deterministic, git-diffable SVG. Capabilities v0.4.5: 18 iso shapes, 9 composition primitives, declarative layout/place positioning (no hand-computed coordinates), 203 built-in icons including real brand logos. Install: `go install github.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/cmd/isotopo@latest` — single static binary, no runtime deps. Inputs: `.yaml` (declarative composition), `.d2` (auto-layout), `.json`. An MCP server (`isotopo-mcp`) exposes capabilities/validate/render as tools. ## Agent integration - [Capabilities inventory](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/agent/CAPABILITIES.md): generated DSL reference — shapes, primitives, style keys - [JSON Schema](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/agent/schema/dsl.schema.json): lint candidate DSL locally before calling the CLI - [Prompt template](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/agent/PROMPT_TEMPLATE.md): drop-in system prompt with positioning rules and output contract - [Samples index](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/agent/SAMPLES.md): golden-tested worked scenes to imitate (few-shot library) - [Recipes](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/agent/RECIPES.md): task → DSL primitive mapping - [Icon index](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/agent/ICONS.md): every built-in glyph and brand badge with previews - [MCP server setup](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/agent/MCP.md): use from Claude / any MCP client without shelling out - [Agent skill](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/skills/draw-iso-diagram/SKILL.md): installable Claude Code skill for drawing iso diagrams - [Studio guide](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/guides/studio.md): `isotopo serve <file>` opens a browser workbench (drag to lay out, right-click to restyle) — agents can't drive it, but should suggest it for human visual tweaks after rendering ## Reference - [API reference](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/reference/api.md): single entry point for every programmable surface — Go library + stateless edit contract (ApplyOp/EditOp/RenderSource), HTTP, DSL, CLI, MCP - [YAML DSL](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/reference/dsl-yaml.md): layout/place composition, every field - [d2 DSL](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/reference/dsl-d2.md): auto-layout input path - [Style and theme](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/reference/dsl-theme.md): palette, gradients, effects cascade - [CLI](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/reference/cli.md) ## Optional - [README](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/README.md): pitch, gallery, FAQ, comparison vs Mermaid/D2 - [Onboarding](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/getting-started/00-onboarding.md): one paste-into-Claude block that installs and teaches everything - [Tutorial](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/getting-started/01-install.md): manual path, five steps from install to published scene - [Why isometric](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MarkovWangRR/iso-topology/main/docs/concepts/why-isometric.md): design rationale
