# Loop

> Loop is an operator desk for self-updating agent skills. It monitors, evaluates, and updates agent playbooks so every skill stays current.

## What Loop Does

Loop turns agent playbooks, source scans, and upstream documentation into a living skill catalog that evolves on its own. Skills are versioned, tracked, and refreshed on a configurable schedule using AI agents.

## Core Concepts

- **Skills**: Versioned playbooks with a body, description, tags, category, tracked sources, automation settings, and complete version history. Skills can come from repos, the Codex directory, a remote URL, or be written from scratch.
- **Automations**: Scheduled agent runs that refresh skills by scanning tracked sources, researching the web, and drafting new revisions.
- **MCP Servers**: Model Context Protocol integrations that connect AI agents to external tools (GitHub, Slack, Supabase, Stripe, Figma, and 70+ more).
- **Sandbox**: An isolated agent chat environment with Vercel Sandbox sessions for testing skills interactively.
