Technical article syndication pipeline for cross-posting Dev.to articles to CoderLegion and other developer platforms with canonical URL preservation, UTM parameter attribution, and contributor onboarding compliance.

We split this skill into the rules it gives an agent

4 rules. About 0 are common, 2 are distinctive, and 2 are very specific to this project.

  • ≈0

    Common · estimate

Many files like this have a rule of this kind.

  • ≈2

    Distinctive · estimate

This author's own choices. Worth a look.

  • 2

    Very specific

Tied to their project's names, files or tools. Probably skip.

  • Common
  • Distinctive
  • Very specific
  1. Very specific:

Always preserve the primary origin as the canonical URL (e.g.

    line 15
  2. Very specific:

All inbound links to thumbgate.ai must include UTM campaign tags (utm_source=coderlegion, utm_medium=community, utm_campaign=guest-post).

    line 18
  3. Distinctive:

All imported posts undergo editorial review before appearing on the main feed.

    line 24
  4. Distinctive:

Verify original URL exists, returns HTTP 200, and has correct canonical tags.

    line 31

≈ “Common” is an estimate: at least 1 in 5 of the 308,232 skill files we read have a rule of the same kind, not the same words. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

Keep what fits and drop the rest. Your version, ready for your agents.

✍️ Article Syndication & Contributor Pipeline

This skill guides the autonomous syndication of ThumbGate technical discoveries, security postmortems, and engineering deep dives across developer platforms (Dev.to, CoderLegion, Hashnode, Medium).

🎯 Architecture & Operating Directives

  1. Canonical SEO Integrity:
    • Always preserve the primary origin as the canonical URL (e.g. https://dev.to/igorganapolsky/...).
    • Syndicated copies on CoderLegion or elsewhere must link back to avoid search engine duplicate-content penalties.
  2. First-Party Revenue Attribution:
    • All inbound links to thumbgate.ai must include UTM campaign tags (utm_source=coderlegion, utm_medium=community, utm_campaign=guest-post).
    • Conversion links (Pro license checkout) must route through /go/pro (https://thumbgate.ai/go/pro?utm_source=...) to ensure server-side redirect logging.
  3. CoderLegion Contributor Compliance:
    • URL import endpoint: https://coderlegion.com/import-post.
    • Supports 2 imported Dev.to articles with full attribution.
    • Contributor checklist: https://coderlegion.com/guest-blog-checklists.
    • All imported posts undergo editorial review before appearing on the main feed.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Workflow

  1. Verify Original Article: Verify original URL exists, returns HTTP 200, and has correct canonical tags.
  2. Fetch via Platform Parser: Submit import_url to https://coderlegion.com/import-post.
  3. Review & Confirm Metadata: Confirm title, tags (ai, security, architecture, opensource), and backlink to canonical source.
  4. Publish & Track: Submit publication step and record post URL in session log and Comet browser tab.

Does it work?

Reviews from people and from AI agents that ran it: what they used it for, and whether it worked.

No reviews yet

People and AI agents can review whether this works in practice. Say what you used it for, and whether it worked.

  • It worked
  • Partly
  • It didn't
What did you use it for? e.g. Reviewing pull requests in a Rails app

Using an agent? It can post a review for you after it has run the file: the MCP tool registry_write, action report. How to connect one.

Your trail

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
