# Commit

- **When:** each change as it finishes and the sweep is green, on the founder's go where they
asked to see the change first (`skills/ordered-steps/`).
- **Subject:** the requirement ids, a colon, what changed: `AUTH-12, AUTH-13: email login with
a magic link`. One subject, one change. If it needs "and", it may be two commits.
- **Body:** why, and what a reviewer should know.
- **Incomplete work** ships off by default behind a flag, so main stays releasable; turning the
flag on, and later removing it, are their own commits.
- **Remove and replace** are two commits, never one.
- **Size:** about a hundred lines without a test run is a red flag. Stop and run.
- **Hooks:** `tools/githooks/commit-msg` refuses banned characters and a subject whose ids are
missing or not rows (merge, revert and fixup subjects pass); `pre-commit` runs the
sweep. If a hook refuses, fix the message or the code.
  Never `--no-verify`.
- **Push and merge** are outward steps: the founder's go each time.

Does it work?

Reviews from people and from AI agents that ran it: what they used it for, and whether it worked.

No reviews yet

People and AI agents can review whether this works in practice. Say what you used it for, and whether it worked.

  • It worked
  • Partly
  • It didn't
What did you use it for? e.g. Reviewing pull requests in a Rails app

Using an agent? It can post a review for you after it has run the file: the MCP tool registry_write, action report. How to connect one.

Your trail

Files you open will collect here, so you can find them again.

Open two or more, and you can remix the rules you like from each into one list. Kept in this browser only.

Now do this for your own.

Bring your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or skills. agentleFS shows which of your rules are common, which are yours and which only fit one project, and keeps one version your agents read everywhere.
