# ComplyEaze Bridge > ComplyEaze Bridge is an MCP server, packaged as a Claude Desktop extension, that connects Claude Desktop to the TallyPrime running on your own computer. It is built for CA firms and accountants. It reads outstanding receivables and payables with ageing, the trial balance, profit and loss, the balance sheet, ledger movement, vouchers, the purchase and sales registers of the books and closing stock values, checks ledger names before you post, proposes Payment, Receipt and Contra vouchers from a password-protected SBI, HDFC, Union Bank of India or Bank of Baroda statement PDF, and prepares Journal, Payment, Receipt and Contra vouchers; both are written to an import file that you import in TallyPrime yourself. Posting is off by default in a new install (check the setting if you upgraded from an earlier version); when it is on, each voucher is posted only after you approve it in a separate window. It is open source under Apache-2.0, for Windows x64 and Apple Silicon Macs, still being developed, and not yet code-signed. What the assistant reads goes to your AI provider, including company, party and ledger names, amounts, GSTINs and, from ledger details, PAN and bank account numbers; masking shortens names and bank account numbers and does not hide amounts, so amounts are always sent, as are the last four digits of a bank statement's account number. The only network client in ComplyEaze Bridge's own code connects to Tally on your own computer; it cannot tell whether that port is forwarded to another machine, so do not forward it across the internet. In the current release the bank-statement tool can still be given a path on a mapped network drive or, on a Mac, a mounted network volume, and the operating system then connects to that computer: keep statements and password files on a local disk. It does not create masters, post sales, purchase or tax entries, or undo a posted voucher. ## Start here - [README](https://github.com/ComplyEaze/bridge/blob/master/README.md): what it does, what it does not do, and what has and has not been run against a real TallyPrime - [Installation guide](https://github.com/ComplyEaze/bridge/blob/master/docs/agent/INSTALL.md): the steps from nothing to a first question - [Security and privacy](https://github.com/ComplyEaze/bridge/blob/master/docs/security-and-privacy.md): where data goes, what is kept on the computer, and what was not measured ## Reference - [MCP guide](https://github.com/ComplyEaze/bridge/blob/master/docs/agent/README.md): the tools, their arguments and the settings - [Questions and answers](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/faq.html): what leaves the computer, what it can change, what it can do, how to set it up, and what has been tested - [Capabilities](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/capabilities.html): every tool release 0.7.0 installs, which are read-only, and the four that appear only with posting on, two of them only with master writes on as well - [Bank statement PDF to TallyPrime vouchers](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/bank-statement-pdf-to-tallyprime-vouchers.html): the steps for an SBI, HDFC, Union Bank of India or Bank of Baroda statement, what you decide, and what has not been tested - [Download](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/download.html): the extension for Windows x64 and Apple Silicon Macs - [Releases](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/releases.html) and [changelog](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/changelog.html) - [Terms of Use](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/terms.html) and [Privacy Policy](https://bridge.complyeaze.com/privacy.html) - [Security policy](https://github.com/ComplyEaze/bridge/blob/master/SECURITY.md): how to report a vulnerability privately

Their own version: similar meaning, or, weakest, the same name. We can’t tell which project had it first. Projects are counted among the 200 most-starred candidates, and mentions are links to the repository we found, up to 50 per site, so both counts are a floor.
