This router indexes all subsystem documentation for MPV Anime Build. When working on a task, refer to the corresponding modular documentation file under agents/development/ for detailed architectural rules, invariants, and implementation details.

We split this skill into the rules it gives an agent

3 rules. 0 are common, 1 is distinctive, and 2 are very specific to this project.

  • 0

    Common

Most of the 38 edited versions we read keep these.

  • 1

    Distinctive

This author's own choices. Worth a look.

  • 2

    Very specific

Tied to their project's names, files or tools. Probably skip.

  • Common
  • Distinctive
  • Very specific
  1. Distinctive:

NEVER commit or push automatically: Always show git diff and wait for explicit user confirmation.

    line 9
  2. Very specific:

Review documentation: Read the designated .md file to understand constraints and invariants.

    line 44
  3. Very specific:

Inspect the code: Check existing implementation in scripts/, script-opts/, or shaders/.

    line 45

“Common” is measured: kept by at least 6 in 10 of the 38 edited versions of this file we could read. “Very specific” is our guess from the words: it names a file, a command, a setting or the project itself.

Keep what fits and drop the rest. Your version, ready for your agents.

🎬 MPV Anime Build — Development Skill & Subsystem Router

This router indexes all subsystem documentation for MPV Anime Build. When working on a task, refer to the corresponding modular documentation file under agents/development/ for detailed architectural rules, invariants, and implementation details.

🚨 Non-Negotiable Invariants

  1. NEVER commit or push automatically: Always show git diff and wait for explicit user confirmation. (See 00-git-and-release-workflow.md)
  2. Version Source of Truth: script-opts/build_info.conf is authoritative (never infer from git describe).
  3. NEVER overwrite scripts/uosc/main.lua or scripts/uosc/lib/menus.lua with upstream UOSC: They contain extensive custom controls, menu logic, subtitle downloader behavior, and event hooks. (See 04-uosc-custom-ui.md)
  4. NEVER reset manual_override on file-loaded: Track selections persist across playlist files. (See 07-track-selector.md)
  5. Eco Mode Priority: The [Low-End] profile owns rendering properties on battery; user settings must not overwrite it. (See 05-power-guard-eco.md)
  6. Live-Action Detection Override: Explicit live-action titles/paths override anime folders/Japanese audio in Auto mode. (See 02-anime-profile-controller.md)

🛠️ Step-by-Step Task Execution Protocol

  1. Identify the subsystem: Locate the relevant module from the index above.
  2. Review documentation: Read the designated .md file to understand constraints and invariants.
  3. Inspect the code: Check existing implementation in scripts/, script-opts/, or shaders/.
  4. Make minimal, safe changes: Match surrounding coding idiom and respect state flows.
  5. Validate changes: Perform syntax checks and verify cross-script message compatibility.
  6. Report git status: Display git diff and summarize changes for user review.

How matches are found. Word for word: the exact same text. Edited: shares passages with this file (“99% same” means 99% of its five-word phrases also appear here; 10% or more counts). Their own version: similar meaning, or, weakest, the same name. We can’t tell which project had it first. Projects are counted among the 200 most-starred candidates, and mentions are links to the repository we found, up to 50 per site, so both counts are a floor.

      speech-engine

Add real-time voice conversations to a custom agent runtime with ElevenLabs Speech Engine. Use when building Speech Engine servers, WebSocket handlers, WebRTC browser clients, conversation token endpoints, interruption-aware streaming responses, or voice-enabled chat agents that connect developer-owned server logic to ElevenLabs speech-to-text and text-to-speech.

    • RobStrayerSkill

      voice-isolator

Remove background noise and isolate vocals/speech from audio using ElevenLabs Voice Isolator (audio isolation) API. Use when cleaning up noisy recordings, removing music or background ambience from dialogue, isolating speech from field recordings, preparing audio for transcription, extracting vocals, or any "denoise / clean up / isolate voice" task.

      realtime

Real-time communication patterns for web applications — WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), transport selection, scaling persistent connections, and reverse proxy configuration. Use when implementing live updates (vote counts, new replies, typing indicators, notifications), choosing a transport, designing real-time event flows, or wiring real-time into a multi-context system. Stack agnostic — applies to any backend and frontend. Does NOT cover message broker configuration or domain event design.
