# Caraka

> A thin bridge from Telegram, Discord, or WhatsApp to the coding agent already installed on your machine. A task lives in its own topic or thread, like tabs in a terminal, and in a header where the chat app has neither. Caraka has no agent loop, no execution tools, and no plugin marketplace: the coding agent already has all of those.

Caraka speaks [ACP](https://agentclientprotocol.com), the LSP-equivalent for coding agents. Seven agent presets ship, one YAML file each, and four of them have been run here against a live binary: Claude Code on both its routes, Codex and aider on the CLI, goose over ACP. Memory ships since v0.3 through [Titen](https://titen.dev), through a local SQLite provider, or not at all; Titen separates observation, claim, and context so a conclusion is never confused with the evidence behind it.

Status: v1.3, MIT, Node ≥ 22. Every phase of the roadmap carries shipped code and not one field gate has been answered by a person: no dogfood week, no recorded setup session, no beta group, no live Discord credential, and no WhatsApp number ever linked. The npm registry holds 1.3.0.

Since v1.3 a paired room answers only when it is addressed — a mention, a reply, or a command — and a channel that cannot report addressing is answered anyway rather than going silent. An attachment is carried to the agent as image bytes over ACP or as a path where a preset names the flag, and one it cannot carry is refused in a sentence instead of dropped without a word. A workspace can be named by path from the operator's direct message, confirmed on the same signed card pairing uses; from a group, a path is refused and the workspace list is the answer.
