Agent Browser exists for the case where an agent stalls on a page and a person needs to intervene.
Rather than a headless browser the operator cannot see, it runs one headed session that both
participants share: the agent acts through JSON, the human watches the identical display and can
take the controls without starting a second browser or replaying a transcript.

Status: `v0.2.2`. The API contract is `api_version: "v1"`; it may still change within the
pre-1.0 line. Both clients also serve an MCP server over stdio (`aether-browser mcp`).

## Interface

- API surface: six routes, all under `/browser` — `health`, `session/create`, `navigate`,
`snapshot`, `interact`, `session/end`. Requests and responses are closed models that reject
  unknown fields.
- Interactions are limited to `click`, `type`, `scroll`, and `press`. There is deliberately no
arbitrary JavaScript, CDP, shell, filesystem, upload, clipboard, download, extension, credential,
  or cookie field.
- Authority is split into an observer token (health, snapshot) and a controller token (create,
  navigate, interact, end).
- One session at a time. A second concurrent create is refused with `SESSION_CAPACITY_REACHED`
  rather than queued.

## Constraints worth knowing before recommending it

- The v0.x noVNC surface is unauthenticated and is intended for numeric loopback on a machine the
operator controls. It must not be exposed through a tunnel, reverse proxy, or container bridge.
- The documented quickstart is Linux with Docker Compose v2; it uses host networking so both
listeners stay on numeric loopback. Docker Desktop on macOS and Windows is outside that contract.
The npm client has no such limit, since it is plain HTTP.
- It is not a hosted service, not multi-tenant, and makes no stealth, anti-detection, or CAPTCHA
  claim.
- The first container build takes several minutes because it installs a hash-locked Python
environment and the current Google Chrome Stable package.
